Biography

Dr. Mohammad Ashiqur Rahman is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Florida International University (FIU). He also has a secondary appointment in the FIU Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. Dr. Rahman joined FIU as an Assistant Professor in Spring 2019. Before joining FIU, he was with the Department of Computer Science at Tennessee Tech University. He obtained a Ph.D. in computing and information systems from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2015. Previously, He received BS and MS degrees in computer science and engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka, in 2004 and 2007, respectively. Dr. Rahman lead the Analytics of Cyber Defense (ACyD) Lab at FIU. He is a senior member of IEEE and a member of ACM.

Research and Educational Interests

Dr. Rahman's primary research interest covers a wide area of security and dependability problems in cyber and cyber-physical systems (CPSs). His research focus primarily includes computer and information security analysis, risk assessment and security design, resiliency analysis and hardening, and secure and dependable resource allocation. Dr. Rahman primarily applies formal methods, machine learning, and game theory in my research.
