Graduate Student, Deya Banisakher wins Best Poster at FLAIRS Conference

Banisakher, a Ph.D. Candidate at FIU’s School of Computing and Information Sciences (SCIS), have won the 30th International Florida Artificial Intelligence Research Society Conference (FLAIRS) Award for Best Poster, “A Supervised Classification Approach to Predicting Knee Pain Improvement in Osteoarthritis Patients.”

Deya was advised by Mark A. Finlayson, Naphtali Rishe, Cognition, Narrative, and Culture (COGNAC) Laboratory, and the Center for Aquatic Chemistry and the Environment, Center of Research Excellence in Science and Technology (CREST CAChE) team members at FIU.
