With the beginning of the final semester of 2020, Upsilon Pi Epsilon (UPE), the largest technology organization within FIU, held its 2020 Fall Kickoff General Meeting virtually via Zoom on August 28th. The meeting was open to all students regardless of major or background, with the intent of bringing to light the fantastic programs and workshops that UPE will be offering to students this semester, including interactive workshops, collaborative projects, cutting-edge research, and peer mentorship.
UPE’s Kickoff Meeting accommodated a welcoming online environment for students to discover the plans in store for this semester to overall improve the quality of the STEM education. Along with the attendance of UPE’s executive board and Program Directors, students were able to develop interests for various Programs and events, as well as have their questions answered.
Continuing UPE’s main goal and belief of enhancing the knowledge of all students within all practices about the technology field. To learn more about how joining UPE at FIU can advance your career in computing and technology, please visit https://upe.cs.fiu.edu/ and join the Discord server.
