With 2020 marking a new decade, Upsilon Pi Epsilon (UPE), the largest tech organization at FIU, hosted its 2020 Spring Kickoff Meeting on January 10th. At the meeting, UPE introduced engaging and exciting opportunities aimed at boosting skills and careers in tech to attendees. The meeting, open to students from all majors and backgrounds, highlighted the fantastic programs and workshops that UPE will be offering to students this semester, including interactive workshops, collaborative projects, cutting-edge research, and peer mentorship.
UPE’s Kickoff Meeting provided a friendly environment for students to learn more about what’s in store for this semester in terms of outreach and enrichment programs to bolster the quality of STEM education at FIU. Interested students were able to connect with UPE’s new executive board for 2020 over free snacks and pizza in order to learn more about the UPE community and inquire about various opportunities in technology that UPE offers. UPE also hosted a raffle for students to win swag from top companies, including Google Microsoft, and many more.
As always, UPE promises continued dedication and success with students across all disciplines looking to gain valuable experiences in tech.
