UPE member and FIU SCIS student Taylor Rivera were recently selected to attend Twitter’s #EarlyBird event in San Francisco, California. She was one of the 35 students selected from over a thousand who applied to take part in this program. She was also the only FIU student invited to the event.
#EarlyBird is a five-day program for first-year minority computer science students offered every year by Twitter. During the five-days, Taylor had the chance to work together with Twitter engineers and other students to develop innovative projects. At the end of the five days, all teams presented their projects and received feedback from the Twitter team. Taylor walked away with lots of new knowledge and an amazing experience.
