Professor Giri Narasimhan to Receive Distinguished University Professor Rank

The rank of Distinguished University Professor is the highest rank a professor can achieve at the University. This week, the FIU Provost Office announced Professor Giri Narasimhan as one of its newest recipients of this prestigious rank.

Professor Narasimhan was recognized for his pioneering and enduring work, exceptional achievements, continuous contributions, and widespread recognition in research, creative activities, teaching, and service excellence.

The official conferral of this designation will occur during the Faculty Convocation Award Ceremony in the Fall 2024 semester.
