Upsilon Pi Epsilon Announces New Program for Undergraduate Research

Upsilon Pi Epsilon FIU is proud to announce its new program, UPE Discover. This program, created by Adrian Perez, is for students to research topics they are passionate about in the computing and information sciences. All of the projects in the program will be led by undergraduate students so they may have the freedom to explore their own interests. Students in this program will also have the help from esteemed professors of FIU SCIS in their field of research.

Discover is a new program open to all undergraduate students, new and inexperienced. This program will serve as a primary pipeline to enter the field of research. Already, Discover has led to published research, as there has been work from UPE’s Artificial Intelligence SparkDev team recently published by the prestigious Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence Conference.

Interested in performing undergraduate research? Let us know through our program interest form. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us via our email, upe@fiu.edu, or shoot us a message on our Discord server. For more news and information related to the new Discover program, make sure to sign up for UPE’s membership and mailing list.
